Well in this movie that combined the classic Conrad novel Lord Jim and a real life Indian mining disaster (Chasnala) Amitabh doesnt die - someone else does :P This beautifully written, composed and sung song intersperses the lyrics with a journey on a bike. The whole idea of the song picturization really appeals to me - get on a bike (or car) and make your way through a bunch of places and stop at every little town to flirt with the local gals (dipping in the pond, carrying firewood, riding bikes, jhooming on jhoolas :P) ... what a heavenly idea for a long drive :D

Based(partially) on Lord Jim, this movie was the start of Yash Chopra delivering flop after flop, until Chandni. The songs in this movie are excellent especially this and Ek Raasta Hai Zindagi. This song has a great movement and rhythm to it and is excellently sung by Rafi and Lata. Sahir Ludhianvis lyrics and the music of Rajesh Roshan are also very good.
