Back to percussion based songs - this big big hot from the movie Qurbani had a memorable percussion introduction. It brings back a lot of memories of school for me - we used to play the introductory beat on the teachers desk during lunch break :D - no we didn't break the desk :P. And of course as impressionable pre-teens Zeenat Aman and her curves only enhanced the popularity of the song with us :P

Qurbani was the biggest hit of 1980, and Zeenat Aman and her curves probably played an important part in that but it was also the songs that were so popular and good. This is a beautiful song with beautiful words :D

I was listening to this song on my drive back home yesterday evening, and this has the perfect lightheartedness and shararati to lift all of our moods ... I'm feeling particularly shararati today :P
