What a great way to start the weekend after a really long and exhausting week at work :D - This superhit song was #4 in 1982, and I already posted the Asha version a few months earlier - this is the Kishore version
This one was tough(in the sense that this is anything but obscure) - yes the Kishore Kumar version was popular - but so was this one - maybe marginally less - but Asha sounds so so sweet in this song :D Kinda amazing that R.D won his first Filmfare Award for this movie - yeah yeah I ranted a while ago about the injustice of him having to wait this long.
So ends our month devoted to R D Burman songs - most of them of the obscure or less popular variety. After a brief rest (well catching up on work) I will be back in a couple of days with a new theme - I already know the theme but you my dear readers will have to wait patiently .... PATIENCE GRASSHOPPA :D
There are certain songs that just leave you breathess - this song by Asha does just that - man does she do a great job of singing. And the song also explains why at certain points of time on the Spice Channel when I see a nick Nisha, I go nisha ah haan haan haan han han haaan :D
