Since it was R. D. Burmans birthday a couple of days ago - I decided to devote some time and a lot of posts to some of his relatively obscure songs, songs that are not that well remembered but that are memorable nevertheless.
This one is a ghost song :O and based on a superhit Bengali song composed and sung by R. D himself called fire esho anuradha (come back anuradha) ... this tune and its variants would eventually feature 4 times (both bengali and hindi). First the hindi song
Gorgeous song ... amazing high notes by Lata but that is what she is known for.

Now the song proved to be very very popular that years later in the early 80s R.D. Burman created a reply i.e. Anuradha coming back, sung by Asha and himself :D. I wouldnt watch this video unless you want to fall off your chair/couch laughing. The video was created some 20 years after the song , but I can't seem to find just the song on youtube. This song is titled Firey elam doorey giye (i am back after going far away) ... laugh away at the video, but the song is gorgeous :D
