The fifth (in no particular order) of my 10 must-hear songs is a Rajesh Khanna classic. This was not the most popular song in the music charts of that time (and no I did not listen to music charts in 1971 LOL ) but in the 80s this was definitely the Kati Patang song that would be requested the most on the previously mentioned Vividh Bharati channel. Beautifully composed by R D Burman and beautifully sung by Kishore Kumar - this song hits all the spots - even the ones you didnt know existed :D


shama kahe parwane se pare chala jaa
meri tarah jal jayega yehan nehin aa
