This song was my constant companion during the period of 1993 till about oh 2001 .... but memories sometimes keep flooding back ... the words always seem so very real :D

This version of the song is composed by R. D. Burman and sung by Kishore Kumar. There is another version composed and sung by Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan - the two versions are completely different in structure as well as the mood - this one os more soulful and sad - that one is more trancy and joyous - either way they are both excellent - what a beautiful ghazal written by Javed Akhtar.
