Tomato

First fruit of the season and its massive - its the size of my hand and my hand is pretty large - it weighs about a pound and half :D - this is the heirloom cherokee purple tomato - very tangy and a little sweet - perfect tomato flavor.

Have it sliced with some sea salt sprinkled on the top and little strips of basil :D

    I dont know WHAT made me come back but sometimes the mind makes those intuitive leaps from A to B to X and I just kneww I had missed another post - that the strawberry one couldn't have been all :O

      since its an heirloom tomato (aka non hybridized) it grows to whatever shape it does - some of them do look pretty tho :D
